As it enters its 70th anniversary, the Kansas Pest Control Association (KPCA) is holding a Logo Design Contest. The logo may be used in all media — including online, print, on merchandise and other visual collateral. The deadline is 5 p.m. Central on Friday, Aug. 24, 2018. Official rules and more can be downloaded as a PDF here.
A Selection Committee comprised of KPCA members, chosen by the board of directors, will evaluate all entries based on, but not limited to, the following criteria:
- Relevance. Does the entry align with the theme of the KPCA?
- Originality. Does the entry exhibit original design, creativity, and imagination?
- Aesthetic Quality. Does the submission command attention? Does it display visual balance and color coordination? Do all the elements work together to create a unified and appealing design?
After the Selection Committee selects finalists, designs will be voted on by the public at the Kansas State Fair in September. The winner may be determined by majority vote at this event. The winner will receive a $500 cash prize award.
