The Harvey and Carol Massey Foundation donated $100,000 to Grace Medical Home of Orlando, Fla. The foundation is under Massey Services, and was founded in 2014 by Massey Services’ Chairman Harvey Massey and his wife, Carol.
“The foundation heavily supports organizations that focus on arts, health and education in our community, so we believe this partnership with Grace Medical is the perfect fit,” Massey said. “Our family and the foundation have seen the positive impact this organization has made and we are proud to support them in their mission.”
Grace Medical Facility offers high quality and continuous healthcare to the underserved in the Orlando area. The facility takes a holistic approach to their services by providing primary care, dental services, nutrition and more. The donation will help support the facility’s operations.
Through the partnership, Grace Medical has named their new teaching kitchen the “Harvey and Carol Massey Foundation Teaching Kitchen.” The kitchen will allow the community to attend seminars and learn from nutritionists first-hand.
Massey Services recently donated $25,000 to Opportunity Community Ability (OCA) of Orlando, Fla.
Massey Services also sponsors Autism Speaks in Orlando and Tampa, Fla., Atlanta, Ga., Charlotte, N.C., and Dallas and Austin, Texas. The company has been sponsoring Autism Speaks for 12 years.
Massey, a PMP Hall of Famer (Class of 2008), has long been an advocate of giving back to his community, both personally and through Massey Services.
Over the years, Massey, who has been in the industry for more than five decades, has served in numerous capacities for various organizations, including as Chair of the Orange County Arts and Cultural Affairs Task Force, Vice Chairman of the Expressway Authority, Chairman of the United Arts, Chairman of the Rollins College Center of Advanced Entrepreneurship Program and on the Board of Directors of the Edyth Bush Charitable Foundation, to name a few.
