The event will feature educational sessions and networking opportunities. Sponsors of this year’s conference include Veseris, Rockwell Labs, Kness, Pest Management Professional (PMP), ConidioTech, B&G, Target Specialty Products, BASF, Bird-X, WorkWave, Senestech, GorillaDesk, AMM Insurance, TRNZ4m and Bayer.

The event will be held at the Sheraton North Houston Hotel, the setting for the conference held in 2021. The inaugural WIPC conference took place in Austin, Texas, Aug. 23, 2019.

WIPC began as a Facebook group, and grew from there. Bobbie Terry, owner of The Bug Lady Pest Services in Cedar Creek, Texas, founded WIPC in 2017 and shortly thereafter brought on Lisa Myers-Botts, owner of Peacock Pest Prevention in Cypress, Texas.

The WIPC Facebook group is open only to women in the pest management industry, no matter their title. No topic is off-limits for the members of WIPC, who work in all facets of the industry.

“This is not about excluding men,” Myers-Botts told PMP in 2019. “It’s about learning to embrace our power in a male-dominated industry.”

The WIPC Facebook group includes 1,200 women from around the world who work in the pest control industry. The success of the Facebook group gave Terry and Myers-Botts the idea to get together with other women in the industry. WIPC events are intended for women only; the attendees, presenters, manufacturer and media representatives, all are women.
