Cetane Associates add 2 new directors to team

Cetane Associates, a New Milford, Conn.-based financial advisory and transaction firm providing mergers and acquisitions (M&A) expertise to the home services industries, added Danny O’Laughlin and Nick Stein as directors. O’Laughlin brings over a decade of experience advising middle market firms, while Stein’s experience includes executing mergers and acquisitions, debt and equity financing and valuation advisory. They will both provide services for pest control industry transactions.

Before joining Cetane, O’Laughlin was vice president of M&A at PestCo Holdings and director of western region M&A at Anticimex. Previously, he managed valuation services at RSM, focusing on private equity-backed enterprises and complex capital structures. O’Laughlin holds both bachelor’s and master’s degrees in accounting from the University of Denver.

Stein was previously an M&A associate at PestCo and an investment banking analyst at Q Advisors. Before working in M&A, he was a valuation services senior associate at RSM, specializing in private equity backed enterprises, complex capital structures and purchase price allocations. Stein holds a bachelor’s degree in finance and a master’s of business administration degree (MBA) with a specialization in finance from Florida State University.
