Ecola Termite & Pest Control is known for its traditional and eco-friendly pest control methods. The company has won the Readers’ Choice award since 2014, according to the news release.

The family-owned company has served southern California for about 40 years. In 2000, Ecola Termite & Pest Control was acquired by Sue Fries. As the mother to an asthmatic son, Fries wanted to offer eco-friendly pest control that would be fatal to pests but gentle on people and the environment. Aligning her journey and passion with the company’s mission, Fries led the company’s expansion to multiple offices.

“We owe our growth and longevity to customers who’ve trusted us enough to refer us to people they love, and to employees who live out the golden rule each day,” said Fries, also known as “The Termite Lady.”

Over the years, Fries’ advocacy for greener pest control methods has earned her leadership and consulting roles across the industry, including the Pest Control Operators of California, United Against Indoor Air Pollution, and Indoor Allergen Control Network.

“It’s been a joy to serve the southern California community,” Fries said in the news release. “We look forward to earning the trust of local families and businesses for many more years to come.”

Fries is an award-winning author, public speaker and syndicated talk radio host. She’s also a business owner, competitive dancer and a mom, according to the Ecola Termite & Pest Control website.
